Khabib Nurmagomedov embarking on a three-city UK tour in June
“The Eagle” will be landing in the UK this June. Khabib Nurmagomedov posted on his Instagram account that UFC fans will have the opportunity to meet him from June 11-16. The 30-year-old will be stopping in London, Manchester, and Midlands. This is an independent tour and not one run by the UFC.
“I am really excited to be coming to the UK and meeting my fans,” Nurmagomedov said in a press release. “I appreciate the support I have received from this country and I want to give something back.”
Nurmagomedov (27-0) will be part of live Q&A sessions in each city, followed by a private dinner for those with premium tickets. Tickets currently range from £53.89 – £313.79 (70 USD to 406 USD). The American Kickboxing Academy standout is being billed as “the Dagestan Prince and king of the UFC world.”
Earlier this year Nurmagomedov travelled to Africa where he helped provide aid to locals. He was part of a team that built medical facilities and fix wells.
The Dagestani fighter is currently under suspension by the NSAC after his post-fight melee with Conor McGregor’s team following his win at UFC 229 in October. He was also fined $500,000 of his disclosed $2 million dollar purse. It appears that his next fight will take place against interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier this September in Abu Dhabi. Poirier recently captured the interim title at UFC 236, defeating featherweight champion Max Holloway in the main event via unanimous decision. The American Top Team product is currently riding a six-fight unbeaten streak.
Khabib Nurmagomedov has one of the most impressive records in the UFC at 11-0, defeating the likes of McGregor, former champion Rafael Dos Anjos and top contender Al Iaquinta, who he captured the vacant title from at UFC 223 last April.
