Korean Zombie vs. Renato Moicano Agreed To For UFC Greenville

By Nolan King - May 1, 2019

In need of bigger names to spice up their South Carolina debut, the UFC has reportedly turned to “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung and Renato Moicano. Raphael Marinho, of Brazilian outlet Combate, is reporting the two featherweights have verbally agreed to meet at UFC Greenville on June 22.

The report also says it’s uncertain if the bout will be a five-round main event, or will fall earlier on the main card.

Both fighters are coming off losses to top-10 opponents. Jung most recently competed in November at UFC Denver, turning in a Fight of the Year candidate against Yair Rodriguez. While Jung lost via a last-second back-elbow, Jung reasserted himself as one of the UFC’s most exciting fighters.

His expected opponent, Moicano also lost his last bout by TKO–only to former UFC 145-pound king Jose Aldo. After a competitive first round at UFC Fortaleza, Aldo TKO’d Moicano, continuing his recent resurgence.
