Mackenzie Dern announces pregnancy

Fan favorite UFC flyweight contender Mackenzie Dern won’t be fighting for awhile. Early on Friday morning, Dern shared the exciting news that she is pregnant.

Mackenzie Dern has not fought since May of 2018, when she defeated Amanda Bobby Cooper by first-round submission at UFC 224. In her next most recent fight, she earned a split decision victory over Ashley Yoder in her UFC debut. Prior to these UFC bouts, Dern competed in both the Invicta and LFA cages. She is currently a solid 7-0 overall in MMA. Outside of MMA, Dern is a a decorated Brazilian jiu jitsu competitor.

Mackenzie Dern is just 25 years old, so she’s got plenty of time to compete after she’s welcomed her new baby to the world.
