Max Holloway responds to Conor McGregor following ‘interim champion’ remark
Max Holloway has responded to Conor McGregor following the Irish stars remarks insinuating that the Hawaiian is simply an interim title holder.
The former two-division UFC champion, McGregor, took to Twitter earlier this morning where he attacked ‘Blessed’ with the following post.
“Maybe ‘interim champ champ’ was just a step to far – Interim FW champ” – Conor Mcgregor
McGregor’s comments obviosuly stemmed from Max Holloway’s recent loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 236 in Atlanta.
‘Mystic Mac’ would later delete the post from social media, but not before Holloway caught wind of the insult.
‘Blessed’ responded to Conor McGregor with the following message.

“I’ll leave this right here. Don’t delete your tweets my bratha. I can take it. #keepthatsameenergy” – Max Holloway
Max Holloway and Conor McGregor collided inside the octagon way back in 2013, with the Irishman emerging victorious by way of unanimous decision.
McGregor would go on to capture both the UFC‘s featherweight and lightweight titles by knocking out both Jose Aldo and Eddie Alvarez.
Conor would later vacate his 145-pound title due to inactivity.
That vacant championship was later scooped up by Holloway in 2016, this after Max defeated Anthony Pettis via TKO.
Conor McGregor has not stepped foot inside the octagon since suffering a submission loss to reigning lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov this past October at UFC 229.
