Bryce Mitchell has responded to Sean Woodson’s callout at UFC St. Louis. Woodson took on Alex Caceres on the main card of this past Saturday’s Fight Night event. The bout went the distance and “The Sniper” was awarded the unanimous decision win. After the fight, Woodson called for a clash with Mitchell (h/t MMAJunkie).

UFC CEO Dana White has plans to start moving Fight Night cards away from the Apex. This past Saturday, the UFC made the trip to St. Louis for a show inside the Enterprise Center. It was a refreshing experience for fans, as Fight Night cards have typically been held inside the UFC Apex. as of late Almost 16,000 fans packed the arena and the announced gate was $2.47 million.

Ben Askren isn’t a fan of the talk of Jon Jones fighting Alex Pereira before he mixes it up with Tom Aspinall. Jones is the UFC Heavyweight Champion, but he hasn’t made a title defense yet despite winning the gold back in March 2023. “Bones” was scheduled to put the championship on the line against Stipe Miocic back in November 2023, but an injury derailed that plan. Tom Aspinall ended up winning the interim heavyweight gold by knocking out Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 295.

UFC CEO Dana White was quite pleased with UFC St. Louis overall, but there’s one fight that stood out in his mind, and not in a good way. Waldo Cortes-Acosta derailed the hype train of former Olympian Robelis Despaigne on the opening main card fight of UFC St. Louis. Cortes-Acosta was in control throughout the fight and earned a unanimous decision victory. While it was a one-sided showing, Dana wasn’t impressed in the slightest following Cortes-Acosta’s efforts.

Michael Bisping has praise for Joaquin Buckley following UFC St. Louis, but feels he jumped the shark during his post-fight interview. Buckley was in action this past Saturday, taking on Nursulton Ruziboev in the co-main event. Buckley didn’t let his hometown fans down, scoring a unanimous decision victory over Ruziboev. While his performance isn’t in question, Buckley has received some flak for his callout of Conor McGregor. Not only is such a fight quite the lofty goal for Buckley, but “New Mansa” even went after Conor’s bloodline.

The Octagon returned to Missouri for tonight’s UFC St. Louis event, a twelve-bout fight card headlined by Derrick Lewis vs. Rodrigo Nascimento. The highly anticipated heavyweight main event resulted in another stoppage win for the King of KO’s, Derrick Lewis. ‘The Black Beast’ was able to survive some unenviable positions on the ground in rounds one and two, but came back strong in the third frame of the fight. ‘The Black Beast’ connected with a big right early in round three which sent Rodrigo Nascimento crashing to the canvas. From there, Lewis unleashed some nasty ground and pound to force the referee to step in and call a stop to the fight.

Former UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw could seemingly be on the way back. The 38-year-old has been out of action since a title fight with Aljamain Sterling at UFC 280 in October 2022. That fight ended a yearlong layoff for T.J. Dillashaw, and he didn’t enter it in the best condition. Just minutes into that bout with ‘The Funk Master’, the former champion had his shoulder dislocated.

Sean O’Malley has released the footage of him sparring Alexandre Pantoja in 2016. Pantoja and O’Malley have taken shots at each other over the last few months, and both claimed there was a different version of their sparring footage back in 2016. In the video, O’Malley landed a body kick to the liver and after a few seconds, Pantoja called the sparring over.
