Tonight’s UFC Kansas City event is headlined by a key featherweight matchup featuring Max Holloway taking on Arnold Allen. Holloway (23-7 MMA) will be returning to action for the first time since suffering a lopsided decision defeat to Alexander Volkanovksi at UFC 276 in July of last year. Heavyweight champion Jon Jones has responded after Stipe Miocic accused him of “running” from their proposed UFC 290 title fight. Jones and Miocic were expected to collide at July’s UFC 290 pay-per-view event for Internation Fight Week. However, the Ultimate Fighting Championship recently announced that the July 6 fight card will be headlined by a featherweight title unification bout between Alexander Volkanovski and Yair Rodriguez.

Barboza (23-11 MMA) had entered the contest looking to snap a two-fight losing skid. The feared Brazilian striker had suffered a unanimous decision loss to Bryce Mitchell in his most previous Octagon appearance.

The Mexican standout has gone 3-3 since joining the UFC ranks in March of 2021.

He was knocked out cold by Israel Adesanya and as a result of that, ‘Poatan’ announced that his next fight will be up at 205 pounds.

In that outing, Edwards scored his second straight win over ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ by unanimous decision. The British star had famously claimed the title by knockout the prior August.

Jorge Masvidal doesn’t think he received fair treatment from the cops following his alleged altercation with Colby Covington. TMZ Sports was able to obtain court records last which state Masvidal claiming Covington received preferential treatment from cops during their altercation in Miami last year. Masvidal says he has evidence that on several occasions during their altercation that Covington was treated with “favoritism” by the Miami Beach Police Department.
