Sean O’Malley hopes Jake Paul boxes Nate Diaz next time out. Last Saturday, Paul improved to 6-0 as a boxer with the biggest win of his career as he defeated Anderson Silva by decision. Following the win, he called out Diaz after the Stockton native got into it with his team. It’s a fight that many fans want to see, including Sean O’Malley.

Mario Bautista was ecstatic when he got the call to fight Benito Lopez. After Bautista submitted Brian Kelleher back in June he wasn’t sure what would be next. Yet, when he got the call to face Lopez it did surprise him as Benito hasn’t fought since 2019. However, Bautista was excited about the matchup given the two were supposed to fight as amateurs in 2013.

Former UFC women’s strawweight champion Weili Zhang looks ready to earn back her gold. ‘Magnum’ has been out of action since her rematch with Joanna Jędrzejczyk in June. Their first outing two years prior was one of the greatest women’s MMA fights of all time. Zhang won that first bout by split decision, but wouldn’t need the judges in the second.

On Showtime pay-per-view secured the biggest win of his career, defeating Anderson Silva. The contest was back and forth, but Paul sealed the win on the scorecards with an eighth-round knockdown.

He ended up losing by first-round TKO and after the loss, he knew he needed to drop down to featherweight.

Dan Hooker still believes he can become the UFC’s lightweight champion. Hooker is set to return to lightweight at UFC 281 when he takes on Claudio Puelles. He’s looking to snap a two-fight losing skid and is coming off a TKO loss to Arnold Allen at featherweight. Although Hooker is 1-4 in his last five, ‘The Hangman’ is still confident in his skills and that he can make a title run. Part of the reason for that confidence is due to him having a full camp at City Kickboxing.

Rose Namajunas claims she got what she needed out of the Carla Esparza rematch. Namajunas (11-5 MMA) and Esparza (20-6 MMA) originally met in December of 2014 in the women’s strawweight main event. It was to be Esparza defeating Rose by submission at 1:26 of Round 3. Esparaza became the first strawweight champion in Ultimate Fighting Championship history.

It’s a highly-anticipated fight as the two fought twice previously in kickboxing with Pereira winning one by decision and one by KO. However, in MMA, Adesanya believes it’s much different fight and he plans to rewrite history next Saturday at Madison Square Garden.
