If Carla Esparza isn’t interested in fighting Weili Zhang, Mackenzie Dern would love to. ‘Magnum’ is fresh off a victory over Joanna Jędrzejczyk earlier this month at UFC 275. Following the knockout win, Zhang called for a fight with the champion later this year. While Dana White confirmed that he will make the fight, Esparza later said the challenger will go on her timeline.

UFC middleweight Jared Cannonier isn’t worried about his age heading into his fight with Israel Adesanya. ‘Killa Gorilla’ is set to face the UFC middleweight champion next week at UFC 276. He earned the title opportunity following his brutal knockout of Derek Brunson in February. Furthermore, the bout will be the first time that Cannonier has fought for a UFC championship in his career.

Taila Santos thought her UFC 275 fight against Valentina Shevchenko would be harder than it was. Santos had a ton of success early on using her wrestling and many thought she did enough to win the fight when it hit the scorecards. However, it was Shevchenko edging out a split decision, but Santos says she’s surprised by how easy it was.

Dan Hardy is scolding Dana White for his ‘unnecessary disrespect’ towards Nate Diaz. It was UFC President, Dana White who recently reacted to Nate Diaz once again requesting his release from the UFC. White pointed out that Diaz has won only one of his last several fights, suggesting perhaps it is time for Californian welterweight to move on.

Adrian Yanez was glad to KO Tony Kelley at UFC Austin. In the lead-up to UFC Austin, Kelley made some bigotry comments and Yanez was told by many people that he needed to KO the American. To only add to that, at weigh-ins and during the fight, Kelley was talking more trash. Even after after losing the fight Kelley continued to chirp which Yanez finds comical.

The UFC has parted ways with another three fighters according to recent reports from @UFCRosterWatch on ‘Twitter’. It should also be noted that it has not been confirmed if all of these moves were outright releases or simply contracts which were not renewed.

On August 20 in Salt Lake City, Leon Edwards will finally get his chance at glory as he prepares to lock horns with Kamaru Usman for the UFC welterweight championship. It’s a moment that has been a long time coming and while he may have lost to ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ back in 2015, both men are very different nowadays and have been through an awful lot in their respective careers.

The conversation surrounding who the ‘greatest of all time‘ is in mixed martial arts will likely be raging on for a long, long time to come. Everyone has their view on who should be at the top of the list with a handful of contenders popping up more often than others, with the main four from the UFC being Anderson Silva, Georges St-Pierre, Jon Jones and Khabib Nurmagomedov – although an argument could certainly be made for Demetrious Johnson, too.

Glover Teixeira says he is not thinking about retirement as he eyes a rematch with Jiri Prochazka. Teixeira and Prochazka headlined UFC 275 in arguably the best fight of the year. The two went back and forth and both were close to finishing the fight on numerous occasions.
