As we head into UFC 275 tomorrow night, Glover Teixeira’s legacy as a legend of the UFC’s light heavyweight division is already secure. The Brazilian became the oldest first-time UFC champion last year with his win over Jan Blachowicz and now, he faces a tough test as he prepares to defend the strap against Jiri Prochazka in Singapore.

Valentina Shevchenko has her eyes on Miesha Tate for a potential title defense. Shevchenko is set to face Taila Santos in the co-main event of UFC 275 as she looks to defend her belt for the seventh time. Given she is 8-0 in the weight class, she has almost cleared out the division, but one fighter she has her eye on is Tate.

Glover Teixeira thinks Israel Adesanya will avoid fighting his teammate Alex Pereira at all costs. Pereira and Adesanya fought twice in kickboxing with the Brazilian winning both including one by KO. Since then, ‘The Last Stylebender’ made the move to MMA and has become a UFC champion, this while Pereira just recently got back into MMA and is now 2-0 in the UFC. The Brazilian is set to face Sean Strickland at UFC 276 on July 2 and should he win, many expect he will face Adesanya next. However, for Teixeira, he doubts the middleweight champ will accept the fight against Pereira.

UFC welterweight contender Gilbert Burns is targeting a fight with Jorge Masvidal. The Brazilian has been out of action since his loss to Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 273 in April. While he came up short, Burns was praised for his performance as he took the undefeated Chechen to the limit. The pair received a Fight of the Night bonus for their efforts.

Luke Rockhold believes that former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez needs to be in the Hall of Fame. Earlier this year, the 39-year-old was arrested on attempted murder charges. Reports stated that Velasquez chased a man in a vehicle, firing multiple times. One man was struck by gunfire but had non-life threatening injuries.
