Luke Rockhold says it was "a wise move" for Khamzat Chimaev to turn him down

Luke Rockhold believes it was a smart move by Khamzat Chimaev to turn him down. While Rockhold was hinting at a return to the Octagon earlier this year, he claims he was offered Chimaev and accepted the fight. Yet, the Swede turned it down as he wanted to stay at welterweight and ended up facing Li Jingliang and then Gilbert Burns. As for Rockhold, he was booked to fight Sean Strickland at UFC 268 but it didn’t come to fruition and he will now face Paulo Costa at UFC 277.

Frank Camacho will finally make the walk to the Octagon again after a hectic two years. After Camacho suffered a TKO loss to Justin Jaynes in June of 2020, he was booked to fight Brok Weaver in September. Yet, on fight week he tested positive for COVID and the fight was scratched. The bad luck didn’t stop there as he was set to return at UFC 263 against Matt Frevola but once again on fight week, he was involved in a serious car crash that has kept him out of the Octagon for nearly a year.

Tony Ferguson has opened up on his knockout loss to Michael Chandler. At UFC 274, Ferguson was looking to snap his three-fight losing streak in a very fan-friendly matchup against Chandler. Although ‘El Cucuy’ was coming off three losses in a row, he did much better than many expected in the first round. However, just seconds into the round Chandler landed a massive front kick that knocked Ferguson out cold.

UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman doesn’t really understand those who doubt his striking skills. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ has been recently calling for a boxing match with Canelo Alvarez. While the boxing superstar first shot down the fight, he’s instead said that it’s just not going to happen now. That response has gotten anger from both Usman and his manager.

Dwayne Johnson was just as shocked as everyone else when Michael Chandler knocked out Tony Ferguson. Last Saturday night, the two lightweights met at UFC 274 in Arizona. The bout was a competitive one early, as Ferguson knocked down Chandler in the first round. That first frame was El Cucuy’s first round won in nearly two years. Sadly, the success was short-lived.

Heading into the fight, Blachowicz is a +164 underdog on FanDuel while the Austrian is a -205 favorite. Covington came out the victor in the welterweight main event. Just over two weeks later Masvidal allegedly attacked Covington outside of the cage.

The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star, 58, is suing Amber Heard for $50 million dollars in a defamation case. Heard is countersuing Depp for $100 million dollars. Tony Ferguson believes Daniel Cormier should’ve been stripped back when he allegedly held the towel to make weight. In the main event of UFC 210 in Buffalo, Cormier was looking to defend his light heavyweight title against Anthony Johnson. Before the fight, however, there was some controversy as Cormier was heavy but when he came back to re-weigh it appeared he held onto the towel to make the weight. To this day, Cormier has denied it and said it was a faulty scale.
