There’s recently been a tidal wave of buzz surrounding a potential scrap between former two-division UFC champ Conor McGregor and surging UFC welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal. Both parties have expressed interest in fighting the other, and many fans are hoping the fight will happen in 2020. From the sounds of it, however, Masvidal isn’t sure McGregor actually wants the fight. But he would like a solid answer one way or the other. He discussed the matchup on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show on Monday.

YouTuber and rookie boxer Logan Paul trashed NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown after the former Pittsburgh Steelers star responded to his callout on Twitter. Paul was the first to call out Brown, telling the former All-Pro wide receiver that he wanted to fight him in a boxing match during an appearance on KFC Radio last month.

Israel Adesanya says Yoel Romero fight is 'done'

The expectation for a while now has been that Masvidal will goe toe to toe with Usman for the Welterweight Championship, as the stars just seem to be aligning for that. “The Nigerian Nightmare” was able to dispatch Colby Covington in his last fight, whereas “Gamebred” went an impressive 3-0 in 2019 against Darren Till, Ben Askren and Nate Diaz.

Bellator color commentator and long-time MMA referee Big John McCarthy explained why he believes UFC president Dana White is against cross-promotion. Bellator recently did a cross-promotion event with RIZIN for New Year’s Eve which McCarthy was a big part of as the event’s announcer. Bellator president Scott Coker is someone who is a big fan of cross-promotion, and has in the past said he would like to do an event pitting Bellator fighters against UFC fighters. However, White has had no interest at all in doing such a thing.
