The disclosed salaries have been released for UFC 241, and new UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic led the way with a $750,000 payday. Miocic knocked out Daniel Cormier in the fourth round to win back the title he lost last year. He received no win bonus for the victory. The man he took the belt from, DC, banked $500,000 in the loss. In the co-main event, Nate Diaz took home $250,000 for his unanimous decision win over Anthony Pettis. There was no win bonus awarded to Diaz. “Showtime” took home $155,000 in the loss.

After finishing DC with strikes in the fourth round, Miocic did a little jig in the center of the Octagon. Speaking to reporters at the post-fight press conference, Miocic says he watched the movie “Old School” earlier in the day and tried to copy the dance moves of Will Ferrell’s ‘Frank the Tank’ character.

ESPN’s Ariel Helwani reported that Duke Roufus, the coach of Pettis, told him that Pettis broke his foot and might need surgery. Pettis will know more about the severity of his injury once he goes back home to Milwaukee.
