A heavyweight bout featuring former Dallas Cowboy Greg Hardy taking on Dmitri Smoliakov co-headlined tonight’s UFC Fort Lauderdale event.

Greg Hardy

Greg Hardy (3-1 MMA) entered tonight’s contest looking to rebound, this after suffering a disqualification loss to Allen Crowder in his octagon debut.

The former NFL Star, Hardy, had made a name for himself on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, scoring two sensational first round knockouts.

Meanwhile, Smoliakov made his first career walk to the octagon sporting a professional record of 9-2.

Tonight’s Hardy vs Smoliakov did not last long. The former Dallas Cowboy came out quickly looking to find a home for his powerful right hand. Smoliakov attempted to wrestle but Hardy was wise to it and kept his distance. Eventually Greg would land a big right followed by an uppercut that sent Smoliakov crashing to the floor. From there Greg Hardy would unleash a plethora of ground and pound which eventually put his opponent out cold.
