Pros react to Jorge Masvidal flattening Darren Till at UFC London
A welterweight showdown between perennial division contenders Jorge Masvidal and Darren Till headlined today’s UFC London event.
Both fighters entered tonight’s headliner looking to rebound.
Darren Till was coming back from the first loss of his career, which he suffered to Tyron Woodley at UFC 228.
Meanwhile, Jorge Masvidal entered tonight’s contest looking to snap a two fight losing skid. “Gamebred” was coming off decision losses to Stephen Thompson and Demian Maia in his most recent efforts.
Tonight’s UFC London headliner was a back and forth affair which saw Darren Till drop Masvidal in the opening minutes of the fight.
“Gamebred” would battle back and start to find his range in the later stages of the first round.
Then in round two, Jorge Masvidal was able to connect with a big combination that sent “The Gorilla” crashing to the canvas (watch that here).
No further punches were required as Darren Till was already out cold and the referee immediately stepped in to call a stop to the action.
