Rocky says Conor McGregor ‘absolutely’ deserves UFC ownership
Does former two-division champion Conor McGregor deserve shares in the Ultimate Fighting Championship? Well, if you ask ‘Rocky’ the answer is “absolutely”.
Sylvester Stallone, who is one of many celebrity owners who hold stakes in the UFC, recently spoke to TMZ Sports where he was asked if Conor McGregor deserved to own shares in the promotion.
“Absolutely.” Stallone responded.
The Hollywood actor, who is famous for his roles as Rocky and Rambo, says he is willing to assist the Irish superstar in obtaining shares.
“Of course.” Stallone responded when asked if he would give McGregor some of his shares for the right price.
Conor McGregor has made it clear that he would like to eventually hold shares in the UFC.
The former ‘champ champ’ has gone as far as challenging Mark Wahlberg and Conan O’Brien to fight for their respective shares in the company.
With that said, UFC President Dana White has dismissed McGregor’s desires to obtain equity in the UFC.
Worst case scenario, it appears that Conor McGregor can reach out to Sylvester Stallone if he really wants a share.
Stallone is still cashing in from ‘Creed 2’ which hit movie theaters earlier this year.
As for the Irish stars return to the octagon, it would appear that Conor McGregor is still fixated on getting an immediate rematch with bitter rival Khabib Nurmagomedov.
‘Mystic Mac’ suffered a fourth round submission loss to ‘The Eagle’ in the pairs first encounter at UFC 229.
