Tony Ferguson gives emotional response to concerns about his personal life: ‘f**k off’
Heading into his Saturday night UFC 238 fight with Donald Cerrone, former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson has had to deal with some personal issues outside the cage. These issues have caused some fans to question his focus and his mental health.
Tony Ferguson has a message for those doubters.
“I tell them to f**k off,” Ferguson told MMA Junkie when asked what he’d say to the fans that are worried about his personal life. “Stop worrying about s**t you can’t handle, man. It’s not your f**king problem.
“You really want to f**king worry about how I am? Buy my f**king pay-per-view. Send me some money, send me whatever, I don’t give a s**t. But quit asking dumbass questions. You want to keep asking me those questions, I’m going to say f**k you. Straight up. I’m back, motherf**ker.”
Tony Ferguson continued, assuring that he’s ready for action on Saturday:
“When have I ever not been ready to take a fight? I’ve been doing this s**T for a long time,” he said. “I’ve seen the ups and downs from a lot of different things. … I’ve been around the block, man, and I know how to bounce back from anything.
Eddie Bravo, the man behind the incredible submission arsenal of Tony Ferguson, made similar assurances on a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience.
“It’s the same Tony,” Bravo told Rogan. “You’d think, is it the same Tony after he had some family stuff going on? Is that going to change him? His opponents hope it’ll change him, but he’s the same Tony. When it comes to fighting, we don’t get into personal stuff. We just stick to fighting. He’s sharper than ever. You can’t guarantee any wins, but I will guarantee he’s going to go in at 100%.”
Do you think Tony Ferguson will be victorious at UFC 238?
