UFC Philadelphia Results: Jack Hermansson submits David Branch (VIDEO)
A middleweight bout between David Branch and Jack Hermansson served as the co-headliner of tonight’s UFC Philadelphia event.
David Branch enters tonight’s fight looking to rebound, this after he suffered a TKO loss to Jared Cannonier in his most recent appearance at UFC 230. The former WSOF “champ champ” has gone 2-2 during his most recent stint with the UFC.
As for Jack Hermansson, “The Joker” enters tonight’s co-main event with a ton of momentum after scoring back-to-back stoppage victories over Thales Leites and Gerald Meerschaert.
Round one begins and Hermansson comes out quickly. Branch lands a low kick but “The Joker” is on him with a combination. Branch circles and then leaps in with a jab that lands. Hermansson shoots in and then scores a nice takedown. He lands in side control. David Branch attempts to scramble but gives up his back. Hermansson transitions to a guillotine choke and this is tight. Branch is trying to defend but this does not look good. Hermansson cranks the hold and this one is all over! WOW!
