UFC Vegas 34 Results: Mark Madsen defeats Clay Guida (Highlights)

Tonight’s UFC Vegas 34 event is co-headlined by a lightweight bout featuring veteran Clay Guida taking on Olympic Silver medalist Mark Madsen.

Guida (36-20 MMA) will enter tonight’s contest looking to build off his recent unanimous decision victory over Michael Johnson from back in February. That win had snapped a two-fight losing skid for ‘The Carpenter’.

Meanwhile, Mark Madsen (10-0 MMA) will be putting his perfect record on the line this evening. The Danish standout has gone 2-0 thus far in his UFC career, scoring wins over Danilo Belluardo and Austin Hubbard.

Another jab from Madsen. He clinches up but Guida quickly breaks free. Uppercut from Guida. Madsen pressuring and lands a jab. A left hook from Guida, he land a right hook that drops Madsen for a second. Madsen clinches to land knees. Clay Guida breaks free and throws a left hook. He shoots in for a takedown and then settles for a low kick on the break. Mark Madsen forces the clinch and lands a set of knees. The horn sounds to end round one.

Round two of the UFC Vegas 34 co-headliner begins and Madsen charges forward. He lands a hook and then a couple of knees from the clinch. Clay Guida breaks free and lands a hard low kick. Good punches from both men now. Guida with a hook. ‘The Carpenter’ is landing some solid shots here in round two. A jab and then a shot from Madsen. The horn sounds to end round two.
