The bout marked the first time that fans have had a chance to see McGregor compete since his submission loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 this past October.

This is not the first time that fight fans have had a chance to witness Conor McGregor compete inside the squared circle.

McGregor took on undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in August of 2016, losing the blockbuster super fight via tenth round TKO.

“Mystic Mac” is expected to return to the octagon this fall and if he has his way it will be for a rematch with the aforementioned Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The Irishman has been fixated on getting a second crack at the undefeated Russian ever since their first fight came to an end last October.

Whether or not McGregor will be granted his wish for an immediate rematch with “The Eagle” remains to be seen.

UFC President Dana White recently told reporters that a title unification bout with Dustin Poirier is next for Khabib Nurmagomedov, adding that the promotion has other plans for McGregor.

Justin Gaethje and Nate Diaz are also options for McGregor’s next fight.
