Former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub has a stand-up comedy special on the way, and on Tuesday afternoon, he dropped the trailer for this Showtime-backed project.

Speaking on his official Instagram account, Schaub announced that this special, titled “You’d be Surprised,” will air on Showtime on May 17 at 10:00 pm PT.

Over the last few years, Brendan Schaub has become a titan of the podcast industry, hosting shows alongside comedians Bryan Callen and Theo Von, and frequently appearing as a guest on The Joe Rogan Experience. Given the way the former fighter has been rubbing shoulders with top comedians, it seemed like a matter of time before he got a stand-up special of his own.
Schaub retired from fighting after a December, 2014 TKO loss to Travis Browne. In his next most recent fight, he gave up a controversial split decision to former UFC heavyweight champ Andrei Arlovski. These losses were preceded by a pair of wins over Matt Mitrione and Lavar Johnson. Other highlights of his resume include victories over names like Mirko Crop Cop and Gabriel Gonzaga. He ended his fighting career with a 10-5 overall record.
