VIDEO | Demetrious Johnson’s insane UFC 216 submission win is even more impressive in slow motion
Last weekend, the UFC returned to Las Vegas, Nevada with the action-packed UFC 216.
In the card’s main event, we saw Tony Ferguson weather an early storm to capture the UFC interim lightweight title with a third-round submission win over Kevin Lee. In the co-main event of the evening, meanwhile, we saw UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson defend his title for a record-shattering 11th consecutive time, using a suplex to set up a fifth-round armbar for a highlight-reel finish that will never be forgotten.
Elsewhere on the card, we saw former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum pick up a blitzkrieg armbar win over last-minute replacement Walt Harris, while lightweights Evan Dunham and Beneil Dariush battled to a draw, and lightweights Lando Vannata and Bobby Green fought to another draw on the undercard.
Needless to say, this was an absolutely thrilling card, packed to the edges with the kind of fights that look extra awesome in slow motion. Check out the slow motion footage of Tony Ferguson, Demetrious Johnson and Fabricio Werdum’s big wins, as well as the other exciting fights on the card, at the top of this post.
