Former UFC women’s strawweight contender Emily Ducote will headline Invicta FC 58 next month. In June, Shannon Knapp’s women’s MMA promotion finally returned. After nearly a year away, they held Invicta FC 55 in Kansas City, the city where they’ve largely remained since being founded a decade ago. There, Hansen came up short by decision, bringing her to a three-fight skid. She previously lost to Jasmine Jasudavicius and Cory McKenna, respectively, sending her to 1-3 in the promotion.

Viviane Pereira hasn’t been able to compete since 2019. It wasn’t the Dragon Kombat representative’s plan to take a hiatus as she became pregnant with her coach Marcos Batista’s child. As a result, that led to her being kicked out of the gym.

All-women MMA promotion Invicta FC has been sold to Anthem Sports & Entertainment and the organization now has a new television deal. As part of the new deal, Invicta FC will now be aired on AXS TV in the United States and on The Fight Network in Canada. It was previously aired on UFC Fight Pass. The first event under the new partnership will be Invicta FC 44, which takes place on May 21. The card features Invicta FC atomweight champion Alesha Zappitella taking on Jessica Delboni.

Punches are expected in combat sports like MMA, boxing, and even in hockey, but you don’t, as a general rule, expect to see anyone throwing hands in the refined sport of horse racing. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened after a Friday race at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida. See this surprising racetrack brawl below:
