Knockout finishes are one of the greatest spectacles in combat sports.

In this video with 10 of the fastest knockouts in UFC history, these fighters had a quick day in the Octagon office.

Our very own BJ Penn made waves all the way back in 2001 at UFC 34 when he fought Caol Uno in just his third professional MMA fight. Penn finished Uno in 11 seconds, setting a quick pace for many to follow.

Mark Weir stepped it up by getting a 10-second knockout finish just a few events after Penn’s 11-second knockout at UFC 38 back in 2002. Weir made quick work of Eugene Jackson, placing him up there with some of the fastest knockouts ever recorded in the UFC.

The Ultimate Fighter veteran Gray Maynard put himself on the list of fastest knockouts in UFC history with his nine-second finish of Joe Veres at UFC Fight Night 11, which took place 2007.

In one of the more recent fights on the list, Makwan Amirkhani finished Andy Ogle in just eight seconds at UFC on FOX 14 that went down in January 2015. Amirkhani followed up in his next fight with another quick finish of Masio Fullen at UFC Fight Night 69 later that year in June with a 1:41 rear-naked choke submission.

Taking it back to UFC 8, UFC Hall of Fame legend Don Frye stunned Thomas Ramirez in some of the earliest days of the UFC in 1996. Frye knocked Ramirez out in his single professional MMA fight in eight seconds.

James Irvin also scored an eight-second knockout over the hard-hitting Houston Alexander at UFC Fight Night 13 back in 2008.

A big reason why so many fans love Chan Sung Jung is for his impressive finishes. “The Korean Zombie” is up there with one of the fastest KO’s in UFC history, finishing Mark Hominick in seven seconds at UFC 140, which took place in 2011.

Ryan Jimmo, who tragically passed away after being hit in a hit-and-run incident last year, holds a seven-second knockout over Anthony Perosh. Jimmo delivered the highlight reel knockout at UFC 149 back in 2012.

Todd Duffee also holds a seven-second knockout over Tim Hague from when they fought at UFC 102 in 2009. Duffee also has 15, 33, and 34-second KO/TKO finishes in his career and is known for his quick fights.

Although Duane Ludwig’s official time of his 2006 knockout over Jonathan Goulet at UFC Fight Night 3 is 11-seconds recorded by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, UFC President Dana White has acknowledged “Bang’s” KO finish as the fastest in UFC history at six-seconds.
