15-year-old Conall Powers proved that he can compete with the adults when he faced 23-year-old Richard Kohlman in an amateur bout at Intense Championship Fighting 24 earlier this month. The amateur fight that took place in Montana, was completely legal as the fight was not sanctioned, according to Ben Fowlkes report on MMA Junkie.

Apparently Montana lacks sanctioning for MMA, which is how this bout was able to be put together.

Despite Powers’ youthful age, he showed his superior technique overcoming the elder Kohlman by TKO in the very first round.

“I really wanted to knock him out standing,” Powers said somewhat disappointed.

Kohlman was carried out on a stretcher after the fight, for precautionary reasons stated by the ringside physician.

What will be next for Conall Powers? He is set to fight again in May, of course in his home state of Montana.
