VIDEO | Chris Weidman channels Paige VanZant, releases sexy Reebok promo

By Tom Taylor - May 4, 2017

Earlier this month, fan favorite UFC strawweight Paige VanZant found herself under fire after she shared a rather provocative, self-made Reebok promo video to her official Snapchat account. The backlash she received was so severe that she ultimately deleted this video – though that didn’t stop some of her fellow fighters from lambasting her on social media.

You had to know it was just a matter of time before parodies of this video started surfacing.

The first fighter to produce a parody of VanZant’s video was former Bellator welterweight champion and current One Championship welterweight titleholder Ben Askren. See Askren’s video below.

Askren, as it turns out, would not be the only notable fighter to make a parody. Earlier today, former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman did the same. See Weidman’s VanZant parody at the top of this post.

VanZant was last seen in the cage in December, when she was submitted by Michelle Waterson. Prior to that, she authored a 2016 knockout of the year contender, dropping Bec Rawlings with a jumping switch kick.

Weidman, meanwhile, currently finds himself on a three-fight losing streak. In his last bout, he experienced a TKO loss to Gegard Mousasi. This loss was preceded by stoppage losses to Yoel Romero and Luke Rockhold, the latter of which marked the end of his middleweight title reign.

What did you think of Paige VanZant’s video? What did you think of Chris Weidman and Ben Askren’s parodies?
