VIDEO | Colby Covington and Michael Bisping have heated post-fight exchange

By Tom Taylor - June 10, 2018

Last night, in the co-main event of UFC 225, American Top Team’s Colby Covington captured the UFC interim welterweight title with a hard-fought decision win over former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos.

Shortly after his big interim title win, Covington linked up with Fox Sports analysts Karyn Bryant, Michelle Waterson, Kenny Florian and Michael Bisping for a post-fight chat. What followed was a heated exchange between Bisping and Covington, during which Bisping attempted to convince Covington to “tone it down” a bit.

Unsurprisingly, Covington didn’t seem receptive. The interim welterweight champ even encouraged the former middleweight champion to come out of retirement for one last fight.

See the pair’s entertaining back and forth in the video at the top of this post.

With his win over Rafael dos Anjos, Colby Covington set up a title-unifying showdown with undisputed UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, which he hopes will happen sometime this summer. That said, Covington’s immediate priority seems to be a trip to the White House for a meeting with President Donald Trump.

What do you think the future holds for Colby Covington? Do you think he can defeat Tyron Woodley to unify the welterweight titles?
