UFC veteran Cole Miller is scheduled to fight Mizuto Hirota at the UFC on FOX 22 card, which takes place on December 17 at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.

The 21-10 MMA veteran will enter the Octagon after a decade of fighting for the UFC and expressed to Sherdog that he is very disheartened with the way things have been going with the promotion as of late. From his last scheduled fight falling through after the UFC Fight Night Manila event was canceled to being denied a recent meeting with the UFC, Miller’s mindset in this training camp is seemingly careless.

Miller explained how he rerouted his trip to ensure that he wouldn’t miss his fight scheduled for UFC Fight Night Manila and says he got a call after driving all night that the entire event was canceled.

“Drove all night, got into Georgia around four in the morning. Woke up at eight in the morning, was on the way to the airport when I got a text saying the whole event was canceled. I was like, ‘Uh, that sucks,’ You know? And then, got less than a third of my show money so I came out of the training camp I think, nine weeks away from my family, I think I profited four or five hundred dollars.

“So, that worked out pretty good for me. And then, instead of getting rebooked two weeks later, I get rebooked two months later! So I have to come do another second training camp to get paid for one. So that’s what it feels like. I don’t even want to be here right now. It doesn’t make me want to fight harder for my family. It makes me want to fight less. It makes me want to quit. Go get a job at Starbucks or something.”

Miller went on to state that he does not know where his future is headed with the UFC.

“This is my last fight on my contract so to renegotiate another contract, there’s a lot of work that gotta be, you know what? I don’t even really think they want me fighting for them. You know, just by the way that I feel that I’ve been treated, it’s like, it’s not how you take care of your people. So, they’ll probably let me go even if I win.”
