VIDEO | Dana White shuts down McGregor WWE rumors by showing texts with Vince McMahon
There has been some buzz recently about UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor being in talks with the WWE for a big money offer, perhaps for a match at WrestleMania 34 in April of next year. While the UFC, WWE, and McGregor did not make any official statement on if that was the case, UFC President Dana White shut down those rumors during a recent interview with FOX 5 News.
The news anchors brought up to White that there was talk of McGregor going to the WWE to wrestle next year.
“It’s not true,” said White. “It’s absolutely not true. I literally just texted Vince McMahon five minutes ago. Not true.”
The news anchors then ask White to back up his words and ask if they can see the text conversation with McMahon.
“There’s the story right there,” said White explaining his text message conversation with McMahon. “Vince with question marks. It’s new to me (McMahon).
“I figured. This is me,” said White. “You guys are always great talking to me. Anytime. Might be good someday but not now.”

We have seen Ronda Rousey during her reign as UFC women’s bantamweight champion put on a show with The Rock at WrestleMania 31. Even the undefeated boxing great Floyd Mayweather has had his time in the WWE ring. Is it only a matter of time before we see “The Notorious” do his thing in the WWE?
