UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold will look to defend his belt at UFC 199 against a newly scheduled opponent on June 4.

With former champion Chris Weidman pulling out of the originally scheduled championship bout, the UFC announced that Michael Bisping will get his first UFC title shot with two and a half weeks notice, against Rockhold at UFC 199.

The two appeared on “UFC Tonight” to promote their fight and did perhaps too much on air with hosts Daniel Cormier and Kenny Florian having to cut the two off.

Rockhold and Bisping first met in the Octagon at UFC Fight Night 55 back in November 2014 with Rockhold taking the win, finishing the fight by guillotine choke in the second round. Rockhold went on to beat former light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida, and then won the middleweight title in his fight with Weidman at UFC 194.

Bisping’s last loss came from the hands of Rockhold but has been on an impressive three-fight win streak. In his last fight at UFC Fight Night 84, Bisping picked up his biggest career win taking a unanimous decision win over former middleweight kingpin Anderson Silva.
