Carlos Condit in the Octagon

This past weekend, former interim UFC welterweight champion Carlos Condit suffered his 2nd loss in a row. The loss this past weekend came at the hands of Demian Maia, who won via rear naked choke, and made it 6 straight with a win over Condit.

Unfortunately, prior to Condit’s fight with Robbie Lawler at the beginning of the year, ‘The Natural Born Killer’ revealed that he was nearing the end of his very iconic career. After his loss to Lawler, Condit revealed that he was on an indefinite hiatus from the Octagon unless he were to get an immediate rematch against Lawler.

The hiatus didn’t last long, as Condit returned to the Octagon this past weekend for his fight with Demian Maia.

Now, on the heels of his loss to Maia, Condit has been very open about that fact that he isn’t sure he can compete with the best fighters in the UFC any longer.

In the video above, Condit’s manager opens up on the future of Carlos Condit’s career in an interview with Chael Sonnen.

Kawa explains that Condit is currently beginning to experience adverse effects from his numerous 5-round wars inside the Octagon. With the subject of CTE and brain damage currently becoming harder and harder to ignore, it may be time for Condit to call it a career.

Kara explains above.
