VIDEO | Michael Bisping says Luke Rockhold declined fight with ‘Jacare’ Souza

Michael Bisping is set to fight for the UFC middleweight title against Luke Rockhold at UFC 199 on June 4.

While early reports were indicating that “Jacare” Souza was the first choice to step in after Chris Weidman pulled out of the scheduled fight with Rockhold, Michael Bisping told Jay and Dan on FOX Sports Live (at 7:40) that Rockhold was the one to decline the fight with “Jacare.”

“Jacare” has stated that he chose to undergo surgery on his leg rather than fighting Luke Rockhold. Perhaps Bisping will expand on his statement after Rockhold hears what Bisping said regarding turning down a fight with “Jacare.”
