VIDEO | More pros predict UFC 212 Jose Aldo vs Max Holloway winner
UFC 212 is just a day away from taking place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
On Saturday, June 4, Brazil’s UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo will be taking on interim champion Max Holloway in a title unification bout to establish the king of the UFC’s 145-pound division. The co-main event will feature top-ranked UFC women’s strawweights Claudia Gadelha and Karolina Kowalkiewicz. Brazilian MMA pioneer Vitor Belfort will also fight in front of his home country as he takes on Nate Marquardt on the exciting card.
We have seen some pros make their predictions for the main event between Jose Aldo and Max Holloway and MMA Junkie has brought more pro picks for the featherweight title fight.
Former World Series of Fighting bantamweight champion Marlon Moraes will be making his UFC debut on the card against #3 UFC ranked bantamweight Raphael Assuncao. Moraes gave his take on the main event.
“I want Aldo to retain his belt and prove that he’s really one of the best,” Moraes said. “I really think he’s one of the best to ever walk inside of the cage.”
MMA veteran Nate Marquardt also gave his opinion on the featherweight title fight.
“I give maybe a slight edge to Holloway,” Marquardt stated. “But, with that being said, Aldo is very dangerous. He hits very hard so I think early on in the fight, like first round and a half, I give the edge to Aldo and then after that, I give it to Holloway.”
