Snoop Dogg discusses UFC 210's Daniel Cormier

Not long ago, a video of rap legend Snoop Dogg narrating Khabib Nurmagomedov’s destruction of Michael Johnson went viral on the Internet. Shortly after this sensational video hit the World Wide Web, the ever-savvy folks in the UFC marketing department linked up with Snoop, and enlisted him to do some more narration work.

Snoop’s latest bit of fight narration was uploaded to the UFC’s official YouTube on Sunday afternoon. In this video, the rapper comments on the highlight reel of Daniel Cormier, who is scheduled to defend the UFC light heavyweight title against absurdly dangerous challenger Anthony “Rumble” Johnson in the main event of UFC 210 this weekend.

In an extremely unsurprising twist, Snoop seems to be particularly blown away by Cormier’s 2014 rag dolling of Dan Henderson, which culminated with a third-round rear-naked choke win. The rap star was also impressed to learn that Cormier defeated middleweight legend Anderson Silva back in the summer of 2016.

Daniel Cormier defeats Anderson Silva

Cormier will enter his upcoming bout with Rumble on a three-fight streak. This streak is composed of decision defeats of Silva and Alexander Gustafsson, and a submission of Rumble, who he first met in 2014. In this first fight, Rumble very nearly finished Cormier with first-round punches, but Cormier was able to persevere to lock up a choke in the third.

In addition to this light heavyweight title fight, UFC 210 will also feature a middleweight contender bout between struggling former champion Chris Weidman and dangerous Dutchman Gegard Mousasi. The rest of the main card will be composed of a strawweight bout between Cynthia Calvillo and Pearl Gonzales, a welterweight bout between Patrick Cote and Thiago Alves, and a lightweight bout between Will Brooks and Charles Oliveira.

What do you think of Snoop Dogg’s assessment of Daniel Cormier’s highlight reel? Is the rapper right to be impressed? Sound off, PENN Nation!
