What is Conor McGregor’s biggest fear?
These are just a couple of questions that GQ threw at “The Notorious” in a short video piece they did featuring the current UFC lightweight world champion. While McGregor has been busy working to try and line up a massive boxing match against Floyd Mayweather, the UFC superstar set aside some time and chatted with GQ to give a little peak into his softer side.
GQ: When was the last time you cried?
McGregor: The last time I cried… Probably when I won my first UFC world title. It was the iterim featherweight world title. I traveled all over the world for it and I won and I was in the shower. My girlfriend was in the shower with me and I started crying and then, thankfully I’ve had no reasons to like cry sad. So I’m very happy with that.
GQ: What’s your favorite romantic comedy:
McGregor: My favorite romantic comedy would probably be scarface (laughing). The love Tony had for the money. It was breathtaking, it blew me away. Such a beautiful love story, crafted together beautifully.
GQ: What’s the sweetest thing you’ve done for your mother?
McGregor: My mother has her feet up. My whole family has their feet up. Nobody in my family has to work a day in their life. I always dreamed of doing that. The day I could say, “Ring your job and tell them you’re not coming back.”
GQ: What are your biggest fears?
McGregor: I mean, we’re all afraid at times. Obviously of certain things but I don’t have any crazy, like, I’m afraid of clowns. I don’t have any fears like that. Stay positive. Stay confident. Stay fearless. Stay ruthless. I’m in a ruthless business. You must understand that. There are no friends in this game. I carry myself cold.
