Former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks failed to make weight once again at UFC 207 for his scheduled bout against Neil Magny.
Hendricks took to the official early UFC weigh-ins on Thursday and weighed in at 173.5 pounds and quickly stepped off the scale.
This isn’t the first time Hendricks has had issues with his weight for UFC bouts. Last year, Hendricks was taken to the hospital after suffering complications with his weight cut for his scheduled bout against Tyron Woodley. Hendricks said that his “intestines were dried up” and that he had kidney stones. The bout with Woodley was canceled.
Hendricks also missed weight in his last UFC bout against Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 200 in July, weighing in at 171.25 at the official weigh in.
Another fighter to miss weight for UFC 207 was Ray Borg who is scheduled to fight Louis Smolka in a flyweight bout. Borg stepped on the scales and weighed in at 129.5, 3.5 pounds over the limit. This is the second time in Borg’s last three fights that he missed weight.
