VIDEO | UFC charades brings out Stephen Thompson’s power walk
An unlikely duo was teamed up on Wednesday’s episode of UFC Tonight as welterweight champion Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson were guests to promote their rematch set for UFC 209.
Karyn Bryant led a game of UFC charades as UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and Kenny Florian were teamed up to take on Woodley and Thompson, who likely had no plans on being on any team together in the foreseeable future.
We see Cormier and Florian jump off to an early lead as Florian does his best Dominick Cruz, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, and Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza imitations as Cormier gets all three just before the buzzer sounds.
Thompson and Woodley go next and the welterweight champion does his best Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson imitation, which is pretty good but Thompson couldn’t come up with the correct answer by the time their 30 seconds were up.
Cormier then shows off his acting skills and does his best Roy Nelson, Dan Henderson and Anderson Silva, which Florian guesses all correctly in their 30 seconds.
Woodley and Thompson then get back up to try and save themselves from being skunked and Thompson does his imitation of Lyoto Machida, Conor McGregor and the power walk, and Sage Northcutt, which Woodley correctly answers before their time is up.
Northcutt, who has been training with Woodley to imitate the style of Thompson then makes his way out to talk with the crew and is respectful of Thompson and his career but is there to help out Woodley for his champ camp.
It was fun to see Woodley and Thompson on the same team for a change, but that will surely be a different story as the two jump back into the Octagon to decide a winner at UFC 209, which takes place on March 4 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
