Wilson Reis believes he can knockout Demetrious Johnson

By Chris Taylor - June 26, 2016

Wilson Reis will challenge Demetrious Johnson for the UFC flyweight title at UFC 201 next month.

The Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, Reis, has earned nine of his twenty career victories by way of submission.

However, when Wilson squares off with “Mighty Mouse” at UFC 201 he wouldn’t be surprised if he gets his first career knockout victory, as he told MMAJunkie in a recent interview:

“It would be huge,” he told MMAjunkie Radio. “But I’m not trying to force it. It’s something I work a lot on, and I’ve been feeling more natural in every fight. I feel I’m connecting more. It’s just a matter of time, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened in this fight.”

Although Johnson has been relatively untouchable while fighting at 125-pounds, Reis still believes the champ has some holes in his game:

“There’s definitely a lot of holes I’m going to capitalize on.”
