Opponents Be Warned! “He’s a scary guy”
This past weekend at WSOF 17, Rousimar Palhares once again defended his WSOF welterweight championship in impressive fashion as he submitted BJJ black belt Jon Fitch in just 90 seconds with a brutal kneebar (See that HERE).
There was some discussion after the fight however as to whether or not Palhares held onto the leg lock too long after Fitch tapped, the reason he was released by the UFC.
WSOF President Ray Sefo gave his thoughts on the submission in an email to MMAJunkie.
“Palhares’ win over Fitch was perfectly clean. Palhares amazes me every time he fights. Everyone knows he is a master at what he does, and even though his opponents know exactly what he’s going to do, they can’t stop him.
“He’s a scary guy for anyone in the world to fight.”
Did you think Palhares held onto the submission too long? Sound off in the comments!
