By bjpenndotcom - September 14, 2013

The main event of WSOF was a long overdue battle of former UFC heavyweights, as former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski faces a man dubbed to have the ‘hardest hands’ in MMA, Mike Kyle.

The Preliminary bouts begin at 6 p.m. and the Main card begins at 9 p.m.

This page will feature a brief recap and the final results for the main event.

Andrei Arlovski (19-10, 1 NC) vs. Mike Kyle (20-9-1, 2 NC)

A razor-thin main event had its share of tense moments. Both Kyle and Arlovski were rocked and staggered in this bout with both men trading haymakers. Arlovski worked a more technical approach and was able to land more, more consistently. Kyle lost his rhythm early on and remained apprehensive to throw. Kyle did rock Arlovski several times but he couldn’t put the former UFC heavyweight champion away. Arlovski used speed, timing, heart, and movement to defeat Mike Kyle in the main event, putting his WSOF record at 2-1 and earning his 20th career win.

Official Result: Andrei Arlovski defeats Mike Kyle via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
