Yoel Romero takes another dig at Daniel Cormier, American Kickboxing Academy
Yoel Romero and Daniel Cormier’s war of words continues.
The latest skirmish in this ongoing saga occurred on Friday afternoon, when Romero took another dig at Cormier — and American Kickboxing Academy — on Twitter.

“Hey [Daniel Cormier] what’s my record against [American Kickboxing Academy]?” Yoel Romero said on Twitter. “If you no fight 205 stay heavy and god bless you. I know you know #iluhju #seeyousoonboi and no forget the #towel 206.2″

“I no understand why I, [a] 41yr old, no can fight with the younger guy that want to retire,” Romero said in a second Tweet, before comparing Cormier to recently retired former middleweight champion Michael Bisping. “First time is [Bisping] (god bless you and your family) now [Daniel Cormier]. Why? #iluhju no be scared meng.”
These comments were in response to a recent Tweet from Cormier, in which the UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champ explained why he doesn’t think the former middleweight title challenger Yoel Romero deserves a light heavyweight title shot.
Hey @yoelromeroMMA here’s the difference between you and me: You’ve missed weight in your last two fights and I’ve won two belts in my last two fights. You’re also 0-2 in your last two title fights, boi #keepdreaming. And hey, get Malki off your Twitter. It’s embarrassing.

These Tweets, of course, were preceded by multiple others from both parties, including one particularly scathing one from Yoel Romero.
