With ONE Championship’s new weigh-in system set to take place in 2016, the weight class the fighters have been competing in will be taking a big change. UFC color commentator Joe Rogan has been a longtime advocate against weight cutting in MMA. With the recent news of ONE FC’s new weigh-in procedures and regulations, Rogan recently tweeted a link to the organizations new system that will be implemented in 2016. Rogan said in the tweet, “This ONE FC weight cutting ban is a step forward in the healthiest direction.”

ONE Championship 32 Askren vs. Santos title fight canceled

A ONE Championship rematch scheduled for today that has been seven months in the making will not come to a realization. After a no-contest bout due to an accidental eye poke between champion Ben Askren and Luis Santos went down at ONE Championship 26 in April, the two were set to fight again Friday in Singapore. However, Santos not making weight on Thursday was a huge issue in the title fight. Askren offered to fight Santos if he were to weigh in again on fight day at no more than 190 pounds. The Brazilian again failed to make the agreed upon weight.

ONE Championship 32 went down October 9th at the Putra Indoor Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and featured a middleweight title main event. Perhaps the biggest moment from the event happened in the co-main event when Irina Mazepa defeated Ann Osman by KO. It was a little controversial because moments before the KO shot landed Mazepa clearly grabbed the cage in order to keep Osman from getting a takedown.
