Since his release, Morales won five straight fights. Then, as he noticed Taylor Lapilus was still without an opponent at UFC Paris, he asked his manager to try to get him that fight.

After a loss to Movsar Evloev in his short-notice UFC debut, Lopes has won five straight fights and has emerged as one of the top featherweight stars.
