Earlier this month in Boston Dominick Cruz reclaimed his UFC bantamweight championship in just his 2nd fight in 4 years. Despite the lengthy layoff, Cruz put on a spectacular performance that saw him pick up a split decision win over TJ Dillashaw. Many believed that the decision was a controversial one, and that Dillashaw should have been given the nod. Immediately following the bout, Cruz’s longtime nemesis Urijah Faber called out ‘The Dominator’ for a trilogy fight. While there are no plans set in stone, Dillashaw spoke about Faber potentially getting the title shot rather than him getting an immediate rematch.

The New York vs. MMA saga continued today after New York District Court Judge Kimba Wood shot down the UFC’s preliminary injunction to bypass the New York MMA ban and hold Jones vs. Cormier II at the Madison Square Garden.
