Here’s what Romero wrote to Adesanya on Twitter, in response to Adesanya criticizing “The Soldier of God” for gassing out in the fifth rounds of his two fights against Robert Whittaker.

First, the former lightweight contender took a short notice welterweight bout against undefeated Alexey Kunchenko and handed him his first loss. A month and a half later, he took another short-notice fight, this time against fellow grappler Gunnar Nelson. He once again got his hand raised.

Speaking to The Mac Life during UFC 243 fight week, Israel Adesanya made a bold prediction, saying that he will fight current reigning light heavyweight champion Jon Jones in 2021 at the new Las Vegas Raiders Stadium. While he pointed out that Jones is a big future opponent, he made sure to note the upcoming middleweight contenders he plans to face as well.
