Chris Weidman is reacting after his most recent opponent Bruno Silva received a six-month suspension for violating the UFC anti-doping policy. Weidman (16-7 MMA) and Silva (23-11 MMA) collided on the main card of March’s UFC event in Atlantic City. The contest resulted in a controversial technical decision win for Chris Weidman.

The Octagon returned to Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 95 event, a ten-bout fight card headlined by Marcin Tybura vs. Serghei Spivac 2. The highly anticipated heavyweight rematch proved to be a short-lived affair. Serghei Spivac was able to get the fight to the ground early and promptly transitioned to an armbar submission which forced Marcin Tybura to tapout (see that here). With tonight’s impressive victory, ‘The Polar Bear’ has now won four of his past five Octagon appearances.

Former UFC light heavyweight title challengers Anthony Smith and Dominick Reyes will reportedly collide at the year’s end pay-per-view event. MMA journalist Alex Behunin was the first to report the news of the Smith vs. Reyes booking, reportedly set for UFC 310 in December. The date, venue, and location for the event have yet to be announced, but the UFC usually holds its year-end final PPV cards in Las Vegas.
