UFC CEO Dana White is confident that fight fans will eventually see a Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall fight. It was Tom Aspinall (14-3 MMA) who defeated Sergei Pavlovich (18-2 MMA) by KO last November at UFC 295. With the victory, the Brit became the interim heavyweight titleholder.

While he didn’t always get his hand raised, ‘Gamebred’ certainly knew how to make an impact both in the cage and on the microphone.

The claim made by the former athletes is that the promotion has illegally abused its power by operating effectively as a monopoly in MMA. They secured dominance by buying out competitors such as PRIDE and Strikeforce, enabling them to pay as little as 13% of revenue.

However, Jon Jones was there seemingly in a ceremonial role, as he was still healing from a torn pec. The heavyweight champion suffered the injury preparing for a fight with Stipe Miocic last fall and is expected to be out of action for most of this year.
