Don’t expect UFC CEO Dana White to entertain the idea of stripping Jon Jones of the UFC Heavyweight Championship. Jones was expected to put his gold on the line against Stipe Miocic at UFC 295 on November 11. That didn’t end up happening, as “Bones” suffered a torn pectoral muscle while preparing for the fight. As a result, the bout was replaced with an interim title fight between Tom Aspinall and Sergei Pavlovich. Aspinall scored a knockout win in just over one minute.

Stephen Thompson doesn’t like the idea of Leon Edwards holding up the welterweight division. Edwards is set to put his UFC welterweight gold at stake against Colby Covington on December 16. The bout will headline UFC 296 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. It’ll be Edwards’ second title defense.

Tom Aspinall has a response to Jon Jones’ recent tirade. Aspinall hasn’t been shy in expressing his belief that Jones should be stripped of the UFC Heavyweight Championship. Jones was scheduled to defend his title against Stipe Miocic in the main event of UFC 295, but “Bones” suffered a torn pectoral muscle. The bout was replaced by an interim heavyweight title matchup between Aspinall and Sergei Pavlovich. Aspinall knocked Pavlovich out in just over a minute.

In the main event of UFC Austin, a battle of top 10 lightweights went down as Arman Tsarukyan took on Beneil Dariush. Tsarukyan entered the fight on a two-fight win streak and was coming off a TKO win over Joaquim Silva in his most previous effort. It was also his second UFC main event after he dropped a controversial decision to Mateusz Gamrot last year. Dariush, meanwhile, was set for his first UFC main event and was coming off a first-round knockout loss to Charles Oliveira in June.

Khamzat Chimaev will be going under the knife after suffering an injury during his UFC 294 fight with Kamaru Usman. Chimaev (13-0 MMA) squared off with Usman (20-4 MMA) in a middleweight contest that served as the co-main event of October’s pay-per-view event in Abu Dhabi. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ had accepted that bout on just ten days’ notice, this after Khamzat’s original opponent Paulo Costa was forced to withdraw due to injury.

Jon Jones has responded after Tom Aspinall called for Dana White to strip him of his UFC heavyweight title. It was shortly after Aspinall (14-3 MMA) defeated Sergei Pavlovich (18-2 MMA) by first-round knockout to claim the interim heavyweight title at UFC 295, that the Brit suggested Dana White and company should strip ‘Bones’ of his heavyweight championship.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill has opened up on his recent domestic violence arrest. It was reported on Friday by TMZ Sports that Hill was arrested in Michigan earlier this week for domestic violence against his brother. According to the report, Hill was booked at a Kent County jail on Monday at around 1 AM and released later that evening, at 7:35 PM. During that time, prosecutors formally charged Hill with one count of misdemeanor aggravated domestic violence.

Colby Covington says getting a DUI while he was at college in Iowa helped save his life and turn him into the fighter he is today. Covington began his college career at Iowa Central Community College and won the 2007 165lb national junior college wrestling title as a true freshman with a 34–0 record. After one year there, Covington transferred to Iowa but just before school started, he was arrested for eluding police and driving while intoxicated, as he blew three times over the legal limit.

The UFC has wasted little time signing Olympic taekwondo medalist Robelis Despaigne. Despaigne is off to a red hot start in his pro MMA career. He has gone 4-0 and has yet to reach the second round. His longest bout lasted four minutes and 54 seconds, which was his pro MMA debut. Since that fight, Despaigne’s average time inside the cage has been just under seven seconds.
