Marlon Vera has once again called out Dominick Cruz by claiming he would ‘retire’ him if they fought later this summer. While he isn’t exactly everyone’s cup of tea from a personality standpoint, nobody can deny that Marlon Vera – also known as ‘Chito’ – is beginning to establish himself as a real contender in the bantamweight division. He’s currently riding a three-fight win streak with his last four wins all coming against notable names in the form of Sean O’Malley, Davey Grant, Frankie Edgar and Rob Font.

Luke Rockhold and Paulo Costa will no longer be fighting at UFC 277 on July 30. According to MMA reporter, The Schmo, Rockhold vs. Costa has been moved to August 20, which is UFC 278. The event is expected to take place in Salt Lake City, Utah. The news also comes just hours after Rockhold did an interview with Submission Radio who ripped the Brazilian for trying to delay their fight.

Recently, it was reported by an Irish outlet that Holm is the frontrunner to face Taylor next. It was originally expected that Taylor would have an immediate rematch with Amanda Serrano, but negotiations have stalled and now Holm, who has one fight left on her UFC deal, has been linked to the fight.

Regardless of retirement, it’s not likely he fights anytime soon. ‘Ragin Al’ has been out of the cage since UFC 268 in November 2021. That outing was a first-round knockout loss to Bobby Green. The stoppage was the first knockout loss of his career to date.

It’s his first fight since Jan Blachowicz brutally knocked him out in his light heavyweight debut. Although he has not fought since 2019, Rockhold is getting the fourth-ranked middleweight and if he wins he would be right back in the title picture.
