Francis Ngannou to receive half of UFC 270 purse in Bitcoin

Francis Ngannou will be getting half of his UFC 270 pay in Bitcoin, the heavyweight champion revealed on Tuesday. Ngannou partnered with Cash App which will turn half of his purse into bitcoin. As well, “The Predator” is also giving away $300,000 worth of Bitcoin to fans on his Instagram and Twitter accounts.

Gane (10-0 MMA), the UFC’s current interim heavyweight title holder, will meet his former training partner and reigning heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou (16-3 MMA) in this weekend’s highly anticipated main event.

The first card of 2022 went down on Saturday as top-10 featherweights in Calvin Kattar and Giga Chikadze headlined UFC Vegas 46. Kattar entered the fight having taken a full year off after his beatdown loss to Max Holloway last January, a setback which snapped his two-fight winning streak. Chikadze, meanwhile, was undefeated in the UFC and coming off a TKO win over Edson Barboza in his first UFC main event. He also picked up a TKO win over Cub Swanson in 2021 which put him on the map as a legit featherweight contender.

Dan Lambert founded American Top Team back in 2001. The vision was to build a world class training facility where MMA fighters could get all of their training under one roof. ATT’s main academy is in Coconut Creek, Florida but it has other affiliated academies throughout the United States.
