Alex Pereira claims he left Israel Adesanya “crying outside” after knocking out ‘Stylebender’ in their 2017 rematch. Pereira (4-1 MMA) and Adesanya (21-1 MMA) have a storied history having collided twice under the GLORY kickboxing banner. The Brazilian emerged victorious in both of those matchups, the second of which came via a nasty knockout (left hook).

Dana White has reacted after hundreds of medical experts demanded Spotify put an end to “lies” being shared on the Joe Rogan Experience. In an open letter to Spotify earlier this week, 270 doctors, scientists and other medical professionals voiced their concerns over misinformation and ‘baseless conspiracy theories’ surrounding the COVID-19 Pandemic which have been put forth on Joe Rogan’s podcast.

UFC President Dana White is not thrilled that ESPN opted to hike his promotions pay-per-view price, but he had no say in the decision. Earlier this month it was revealed that price of UFC pay-per-views was being bumped from $69.99 to $74.99.

UFC President Dana White has responded after former champion Henry Cejudo implied that he is being blackballed by the promotion. Cejudo (16-2 MMA), a former two-division title holder, retired from MMA after defending his bantamweight title against Dominick Cruz at UFC 249 in May of 2020.

Tonight’s men’s flyweight bout between Brandon Royval and Rogerio Bontorin at UFC Vegas 46 was not without controversy. Royval (13-6 MMA), 29, had entered tonight’s contest with hopes of snapping a two-fight losing skid. After starting off his UFC career 2-0 with wins over Tim Elliott and Kai Kara-France, ‘Raw Dawg’ had lost his last two outings to Brandon Moreno and Alexandre Pantoja.

The Octagon remained in Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 46 event, a ten-bout fight card headlined by Calvin Kattar vs. Giga Chikadze. The highly anticipated men’s featherweight main event proved to be an absolutely thrilling five-round war. Calvin and Giga traded punches, elbows, knees and kicks for twenty-five straight minutes, with ‘The Boston Finisher’ clearly getting the better of the exchanges overall. After what can only be described as a ‘fight of the year’ candidate, Kattar was awarded a much deserved win.
